Jigsaw Homes Group is working with energy supply and solutions provider E.ON to deliver £1.5m worth of upgrades to homes throughout Tameside to improve their energy performance.
Around 90 homes have been selected to have the survey, which is being carried out by E.ON, to check what sort of improvements can be made to the homes.
The work, which will take place mostly outside properties, includes an energy performance assessment, 3D property scan, a retrofit assessment and an external drone survey.
Once each property is checked, both inside and out, residents will be contacted to let them know what improvements will be suggested to make their home more energy efficient and warmer. Any work will take place before March 2023.
This is part of Jigsaw’s continued aim to make our residents’ homes more energy efficient and help them save money on their fuel bills.
A slice of funding from the £1.7m Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund has be allocated to properties across Tameside and is matched with Jigsaw’s own funds to deliver the vital upgrades.
