In January 2025 we sought the views of residents, stakeholders and employees on plans to convert Jigsaw Homes Tameside from a charitable company limited by guarantee to a community benefit society (CBS).
The proposal to convert Jigsaw Homes Tameside from a charitable company to a CBS would ensure that it retained its charitable status and would still be subject to charity law. A successful CBS conversion would harmonise the constitutions of the landlords within the Jigsaw Homes Group, and also streamline governance arrangements.
Over the consultation period, no objections to the proposal were received from residents, stakeholders or employees. Following this, the Board of Jigsaw Homes Tameside have decided to proceed with conversion from a charitable company to a community benefit society. Arrangements are now being put in place for the conversion to take place on 01 April 2025.
The conversion has no impact on the rights or responsibilities of residents or employees.

- your rent will not change;
- you will continue to receive services from us in the same way that you do now;
- the terms and conditions of your contract of employment remain unchanged;
