Residents of Sherdley Court in Crumpsall came together to support a good cause by hosting a Macmillan coffee morning.
The event, organised by Tanuja Patel, the Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, managed to collect over £150 in aid of Macmillan cancer support. The morning was a success, with residents enjoying light refreshments and participating in a raffle of alcohol, chocolate tins, biscuits, and knitted baby clothes.
In addition to the coffee morning, the Neighbourhood Engagement team also arranged a day out for residents in Ashton.
Officer Minaz Aslam funded the project, which was facilitated by Perveen Hussain in partnership with Holy Trinity Church and Community Centre in Ashton Central. During the day out, participants from the Holy Trinity Community Centre’s dance and drama class visited the Imperial War Museum in Media City.
The day out was a great opportunity for residents to socialise, connect with each other, and learn more about the war museum. The event was a success, and it provided a great way for residents to come together and support a good cause while also enjoying each other’s company.
