We are once again offering residents and volunteers the opportunity to learn essential life-saving skills through accredited health and safety courses.
Jigsaw Homes Tameside’s Neighbourhood Engagement Team has organised free in-person training courses that aim to teach you how to respond quickly and efficiently in an emergency.
Through our partner TMCG, those attending will take part in a fully comprehensive one day course teaching Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid Skills. You can learn how to assess an emergency and how to use an automated external defibrillator.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in a Food Safety Level 2 course. This will offer an introduction into food safety and hygiene, including appropriate food preservation and storage.
Following a 2 year break, we recently organised two successful First Aid Skills at Work courses at The Together Centre in Dukinfield and Oasis Broadoak Academy Primary School in Ashton. After 23 people attended the face to face sessions and successfully completed the training, our team are excited to expand our life-saving training to you and even more residents within the community.
All courses will take place at the 4C Community Centre in Ashton-Under-Lyne so book your place now by e-mailing employmentsupport@jigsawhomes.org.uk
