Community group MyColdhurst has been awarded £3,000 from the Jigsaw Foundation to deliver professional football coaching sessions for young people aged 6 to 15 in Oldham.
The funding will span over a three year period and will support weekly sessions in which 65 children and young people already regularly attend, giving them a safe place to play, have fun and stay healthy.
The sessions are free to join to ensure that all local residents can easily access football coaching without the cost being a barrier.
MyColdhurst also encourages young people to give back to the community and take pride in their local area with regular litter picks and other community activities frequently organised.
