Revamped Playground is a Hit with Local School Children

Jigsaw’s Hit Squad helped to revamp a local school’s playground creating a safe space for play and outdoor adventures.

The playground at Lyndhurst Primary School in Dukinfield has been transformed with three new raised beds, a brick pathway, four new benches and bark to cover a large outdoor play and learning space.

John McGlynn, Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, consulted with the school about improving the space in April 2022 and the Neighbourhood Plans Central budget was used to pay for materials.

The Hit Squad completed the work on time and within budget which has allowed the children to play outside in the winter weather and explore their new surroundings.

Laura Chapman, Teacher and Key Stage 1 Lead at Lyndhurst Primary School, said: “I would like to say a great big thank you to John and The Hit Squad for the resources they have provided in our KS1 playground. The children, parents and staff have all commented on how wonderful the playground looks.”
