Jigsaw residents across our communities are kicking off the summer holidays in style, through a range of fun activities organised by our Neighbourhood Engagement Teams.
Officer Tanuja Patel arranged activities for children in North Manchester including football, painting, crafts and some of the sports facilities at Crumpsall Primary School. More than 100 children and 13 volunteers were then treated to a pizza party as part of charity Rainbow Surprise’s play scheme.
More activities are planned for four weeks over the holidays, including swimming, day trips to the Manchester Science Museum, Blackpool Zoo and beach and Drayton Manor theme park.
At Cheetham Hill in Manchester, Jigsaw helped the Community Hub’s dementia group by organising painting and games.
In Newton, Hyde, 18 people enjoyed a coffee morning, where they got involved in knitting and playing board games before heading to Acresfield community garden to help with the garden group.
