We are recruiting for a new Non-Executive Director to join our board and play a role in our vision to help residents live successfully in homes they can afford.
As a board member, you will be able to confidently contribute to board meetings and discuss a wide range of issues that directly affect the needs of our residents and the wider community.
The board team leads discussions on areas regarding building more affordable homes, improving the energy efficiency of our homes, addressing building safety and preparing for changes to our regulatory regime.
While you will already have substantial professional experience at a senior level in governance, organisational leadership, and management experience at a high level, previous board member experience is not essential.
Any knowledge of the issues faced in social housing is also important but our candidates do not need a background in the housing sector.
As we value equality, diversity and inclusion, we aim to have a board with a diverse composition and reflect the communities that we work in and with. We do not currently have a member of the board who has lived experience of disability so we would encourage candidates who have a disability to apply.
All of our board members work to determine the vision, mission, value and strategies of Jigsaw Homes and ensure that they are all maintained. Each member is also expected to take on a committee role.
The board meets a minimum of four times a year with virtual meetings starting at 6pm and lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours.
You will be appointed for a one year term but a board member can be re-appointed as long as the period of service does not exceed six years.
