Everybody Needs Good Neighbours in Droylsden

Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Team organised a Good Neighbours Day at Waterway Close in Droylsden to encourage residents to find out more about Jigsaw’s services.

Officers Gemma Batchelor, Minaz Aslam, Julie Fraser and Asmina Choudhury were joined by Emma Quinn, Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Safety Officer and Chloe Hitchen, Jigsaw’s Lettings and Tenancy Matters Officer, met with 35 residents in person and promoted Jigsaw’s services to them.

This included discussing the organisation’s various training opportunities, employment support, money advice, Support to Succeed programme, and Jigsaw Rewards alongside a small welcome gift.

The event was also a useful way to learn about any issues that may have arisen at the development and ensure Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Safety and Lettings teams can deal with them swiftly.

Gemma Batchelor said: “Some of the residents were quite surprised to hear about the services Jigsaw provides to support our residents, especially around employment support. You could see that the residents felt grateful that we had taken the time to visit their neighbourhood and were appreciative of the information and gifts. One resident commented that it had made her day  which was nice to hear.”
