Helping Residents Find Work at Tameside Jobs Fair

Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Team helped sponsor the Tameside Jobs Fair for Spring 2023 which was attended by over 300 people.

A total of 36 employers and training providers were available at the fair to help residents find work and upskill.

Officers John McGlynn and Minaz Aslam and Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Plan Delivery Manager Natalie Twomey hosted a stall to provide support and guidance to those applying for vacancies at Jigsaw Homes, training opportunities and signposting to work clubs in the area.

John said: “We were pleased to sponsor the successful event, working with Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills Team and 35 other employers to engage with residents currently seeking employment and training in the borough.

“We spoke to over 60 individuals on the day who gained a valuable insight into the organisation and how we recruit alongside the JET support services.”
