Sew Stoppers

Sew Stoppers

Residents put needle to thread as they joined a brand new sewing class and learned basic sewing skills at Holy Trinity Community Centre in Ashton.

The classes, which take place every Tuesday, are funded by our Neighbourhoods team and are facilitated by a paid tutor who teaches up to 10 people a variety of sewing techniques.

These popular sessions have helped to boost mental wellbeing by giving residents the opportunity to meet new people, gain confidence and enhance their knowledge.

If you know of any residents interested in the sewing classes and would like to be added to the waiting list, please contact Minaz Aslam at neighbourhoodengagement@jigsawhomes.org.uk
