At Jigsaw, we work together with residents to shape our priorities through an active consultation process via Jigsaw Rewards scrutiny panel.
Our latest scrutiny panel took place on 21 September 2022 with four residents from across the Group to discuss Income Loss – Voids and Lettings. You can read the meeting minutes here>>.
Residents were able to come together and decide which areas of the investigation to focus on.
The panel wanted to look at the following key areas:
- Monitoring and management of the new buddy system/ SLA system to make sure they are working as they should be.
- Major voids and seeing if a case study timeline could be created for the current longest voids, trends emerging and plans to address this.
- Moving to a demand led service and seeing if this would this work in practise
- Support for moving tenants by piloting furnished properties or other targeted measures possible.
- Tenancy end analysis and investigating the reasons for recently increased voids.
- Points of contact following Sign Up and looking into whether we can we do this differently.
- Advertising of vacant properties and seeing if there is a different way of doing this.
Our Chief Executives Department will now gather evidence based on the detailed scope set out by the panel. The scrutiny panel will meet again in November to scrutinise these findings.
As a group, Jigsaw creates new and exciting opportunities for residents as part of our plan to help regenerate neighbourhoods and provide opportunities for our communities to thrive. We work closely with residents to shape our priorities together.
Scrutiny and Jigsaw Rewards have given our residents a genuine opportunity to have their say through an active consultation process.
